Birnin Kebb i – Sen. Atiku Bagudu (PDP- Kebbi Central) has called on INEC to adopt faster methods of accreditation, voting and declaration of results in future elections.

Bagudu, who was reelected on Saturday, speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Birnin Kebbi said `INEC must ensure that adequate personnel and materials are deployed for faster conduct of elections to avoid delays and night voting”.

He lamented that elderly people, pregnant women and the not-so- healthy voters stood the whole day trying to cast their votes.

He added that INEC must find an easier way for people to vote in future.
He commended INEC, security agencies and other stakeholders for the successful conduct of the election, and stressed the need to fine tune areas of lapses and challenges faced in previous elections.

Bagudu scored 173,595 votes to beat Adamu Aliero of the CPC, who had 137,299 votes
