The member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Nicholas Mutu, who sought a re-election has won the seat in a landslide victory.
The Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Festus Omeri while announcing the results after collation at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, office Bomadi, headquarters of the Federal constituency, said Mr Mutu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, polled 54, 458 to defeat Dr. Chris Ekiyor of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, who scored 12, 839.
The CAP candidate of the area polled 613 to place third.
