Former governor of Zamfara state, Ahmed Sani Yerima has been re-elected into the upper chambers in the Zamfara West Senatorial election scoring 154,359 votes while Zamfara North was won by Sen. Sahabi Yau of the PDP with 118,056 votes.
In Bauchi, the former Leader of the House of Representatives, Abdul Ningi, was declared winner of the Bauchi Central Senatorial District election.
He scored 92,920 votes to beat Alhaji Bappa Aliyu of the CPC, who had 57,923 votes.
