Sokoto-Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has won all the 30 seats in the Sokoto State House of Assembly.
This came as Prince Ahmed M. Maccido and Prince AbdulSalam Ibrahim Dasuki won Tuesday’s election into the Senate and the Sokoto State House of Assembly, respectively.
Senator Ahmed, who currently represents Sokoto North Senatorial District and who is the son of the late Sultan Muhammadu Maccido, scored the highest votes of 154,932 to beat 18 other candidates to retain his seat at the Senate.
Election for the Sokoto North Senatorial District was shifted to Tuesday from last Saturday due to the absence of DPP logo on the ballot paper printed by INEC.
