GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, yesterday, took the campaign for votes in the forthcoming elections to the doorsteps of the people.
This comes as the governor disclosed that the sufferings being experienced by motorists plying the Ugbowo-Uselu highway, in Benin City, will soon be a thing of the past as government had commenced the expansion of the road.
Oshiomhole, who moved from door to door and street to street, canvassing for the people’s support, also visited some markets where he enjoined the traders to vote for the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) in the April polls to sustain the ongoing development in the state.
At Uwelu spare parts market, the governor promised the installation of street lights and repair of existing boreholes in the markets. At the new motor spare parts market Evbareke, he promised to reconstruct the road which is in a deplorable state.
The electronic dealers and technicians along Siloko Road were also not left out. He promised the installation of street lights on that road which is already under-going reconstruction, to aid their business when it gets dark.
