SENATOR Annie Okonkwo, who represents Anambra Central in the Senate and is seeking re-election on the platform of Accord Party, has received a boost in his quest to return to the Senate with his endorsement by the traditional ruler of Alor, Igwe J.C. Nkwoka.
Nkwoka is the royal father to Dr. Chris Ngige, another aspirant to the Senate.
The monarch gave the sitting senator the blessings of his royalty to his second term ambition.
Igwe Nkwoka displayed uncommon courage, consistent with the impartiality of his throne and lauded the achievements of the senator which he said he had personally benefited from.
Introducing the senator to the Igwe earlier, High Chief Joseph Okonkwo, the pioneer Chairman of PDP in Anambra State, told the Igwe that he had brought to his palace a humble, quiet and result-oriented senator who deserved his blessings and endorsement more than anyone else, including Dr. Chris Ngige, to enable him achieve more for his constituency.
Senator Okonkwo told the royal father that what God has been doing with Accord Party in the state is unprecedented and truly worthy of his endorsement.
