FIRE has destroyed documents and equipment in Osun Govenor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola’s office in Osogbo. The fire which occurred weekend affected some offices in the executive chamber, burnt vital government documents and office equipment.
The timely arrival of some artisans working in the building, saved the day. The artisans were said to have noticed smoke from one of the offices and called security men.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, was said to be among the first callers at the scene of the incident and personally monitored the operation of the fire men.
Oyetola told newsmen shortly after the fire was put out that neither the extent of damage nor the cause of the fire could be ascertained.
