ENUGU-GOVERNORSHIP candidates of different political parties in Enugu State were weekend locked in a debate, even as Governor Sullivan Chime outlined his future plans for the state if re-elected on April 16, 2011.
The event, which was organised by the Catholic Dioceses of Enugu, Awgu and Nsukka, was attended by Governor
Chime as well as six other candidates, including Valentine Nnaedozie of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN,
Robert Eze of All Nigerian Peoples Party, ANPP, Osita Okechukwu of Congress for Positive Change, CPC, Nnamdi
Anigbo of CAP, Anya Ibekwe of National Transformation Party and National Conscience Party’s Chief Chinonyelum.
Candidates of People for Democratic Change, Dan Shere, and his counterpart in Labour Party, Okechukwu Ezea,
were, however, absent at the Holy Ghost cathedral venue of the debate devoid of bitterness and name-calling.
