The Oba of Benin, Oba Erediauwa, has acknowledged the improvement Air Nigeria’s forays into Benin had brought to air transportation between the state and Lagos.
Oba Erediauwa made the observation when the airline’s management paid him a courtesy visit in his palace in Benin City.
According to him, air operations on Lagos-Benin route has continued to develop since Air Nigeria started flight operations to Benin.
The Oba also noted the positive strides, chairman of the airline, Mr Jimoh Ibrahim, had brought to bear in the country and wished the airline success in its operations.
Oba Erediauwa also commended the airline’s management for deeming it fit to include Benin in its operations.
Chief Executive Officer of Air Nigeria, Mr. Kinfe Kahssaye while intimating the Oba of ongoing turn-around initiatives of the airline, said the choice of re-launching flights to Benin City was premised on the strategic location of the state as a major gateway to several cities that contribute enormous wealth to the earnings of the nation as well as its historical place in the history of Nigeria.
