The controversial Octogenarian man with 86 wives and over 190 children in Bida, Niger State, has finally been dragged before a Niger State High Court sitting in Minna, by members of the Estu Masaba Ruling House in Bida in a bid to determine his membership of the ruling House.
The plaintiffs, Alhaji Abdulmalik Ndazhiko (Narkodi Nupe), Alhaji Abubakar Gimba (Galadima), Alhaji Saidu Bello, Alhaji Muhammad Usman (Sarkin Giyan) and Alhaji Nma Abubakar, (Dan Bokwo Nupe) want the court to determine wether the embattled Octogenarian is really a member of the Masaba Royal family.
Counsel to the plaintiffs, Mr Mohammad Mohammad is praying the court to restrain the defendant from parading himself as a member of the Masaba Royal House, arguing that he is not a member of the Masaba family.
However, in a preliminary objection by the defendant, he is urging the court not to entertain the suit, arguing that the court has no jurisdiction to entertain the case.
Counsel to the plaintiffs, has, however, asked the court for an adjounment to study the objection, since he was only served with the application in court.
Trial judge in the matter, Justice Muhammed Mayaki, consequently adjourned the matter till March 8.
