Umuahia – PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has promised that the Federal Government would tackle squarely, the erosion menace that is threatening Abia state, and indeed the entire South East zone.
Although, according to the President, the Federal Government had intervened in tackling the problem in the past, in the next four years, if he wins the April election, the government will face the menace “squarely”.

Jonathan who spoke at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, Thursday, while flagging off his presidential campaign in Abia state, also promised that the Federal Government would endeavour to restore the glory of Aba so that it will play a key role in the much talked about vision 2020.
According to him, the main aim of vision 2020 is the industrialization of the country, saying with the potentials that abound in Aba, the city will be one of the centres for the industrialization of the nation.
