GOSPEL ministers have been advised to shun covetous-ness, greed and avarice which are some of the elements that kill ministers’ grace and anointing. The call was made by Pastor Victor Uchegbulam, dur-ing a 3-day Lagos State Ministers and Leaders Conference organised by Pastors and Ministers Prayer Agape Network in collaboration with the Ikeja branch of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN.
In a sermon titled The men of David, Pastor Uchegbu-lam urged ministers of God to always strengthen themselves spiritually in order tap into God’s available grace for the work that is ahead of them. Describing greed, love of money and materialism as objects capable of cutting short the flow of grace and anointing, Uchegbulam revealed that many mini-sters established churches out of greed and covetous-ness, stressing that where there is greed the love of God will not exist. The cleric therefore advised minist-ers to embrace the culture of self-discipline. This, according to him, will help men of God in their ministerial work. He said the group was concerned with how to keep aflame the faith of our fathers.
