At last, the Icon Search has come to a close. Next week, we shall unveil the “Allure 2011 Style Icons”. The response from readers has been overwhelming, which goes to show that Nigerians do take an interest.

We are indeed elated that we have started something that many want to key into. Our style icons are the physical embodiment of what we stand for. They are stylish, fashion forward and successful in their endeavours.

Everyone who featured in our list is a style icon in his or her own right, but only two could be named Allure Style Icon. With the help of you, our esteemed reader, and our celebrity judges, we arrived by popular vote if you will, at the Allure Style Icons, Male and Female.

WHAT DO WE DO FOR OUR ICONS?

First, we will show our appreciation by hosting them to a glam party. This year, it is being hosted by Moet at the cozy bar in Victoria Island, Lagos. Another party will be held for them by celebrity photographer, Matew Ibinki, at his Mattson Studios in Lekki. There will also be a photo-shoot session, complete with a photo book. We shall also present them with the Allure crystal plaque along with some exotic gifts.

For the rest of the year, we shall be at their beck, covering all their outings; when and if they make the call.

ABOUT THE PARTY

The party is a strictly by invitation shindig for a select group of not more than a hundred A-listers.

Last year, the queen of style, Erelu Abiola Dosumu, played host at her exotic restaurant The Monarch. It was very cozy and classy with renditions by Guitar Boy and classical music by Olumide. This year promises to be even more exciting, albeit different from last year’s.
