Nigeria’s senior team, Super Eagles will trade tackles with the country’s U-20 side in a friendly at the mainbowl of the National Stadium, Abuja today.
The Super Eagles are putting finishing touches to their preparations for the Green Bowl Soccer Tournament taking place in the United States of America 12-20 February while the U-20 team, Flying Eagles, are steadily getting set for this year’s African Youth Championship taking place in Libya 18 March – 1st April.
Both teams have sized each other up twice within the past fortnight, with the first ending in a 2_2 draw and the senior team edging the second 2_1 at the FIFA Technical Centre, Abuja.
But there is an edge and a different texture to today’s clash as the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) will be using the encounter to assess its newly –acquired Outside Broadcast Equipment.
Head Coach Samson Siasia will also have the opportunity of trimming his squad to the proposed number of 22 that will travel for the Green Bowl Soccer Tournament next weekend.
