Afribank Nigeria Plc has urged its customers to update their data with the bank before the deadline of Monday, January 31, 2011 stipulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
The bank explained that it has been sensitizing customers on the development through advertisements, sms, and other strategies since last year.
“The customer update exercise is initiated by the CBN to improve service standards in the industry. We have put every measure in place to fully comply with the CBN directive, and also gone a step further by simplifying the data update process.”
“There are only two basic steps to update data and be compliant: visit the any Afribank Branch nearest to you; complete a data update date form and submit alongside necessary outstanding documents i.e utility bill; passport photographs; means of identification such as drivers license, international passport or national identity card. The bank can also be downloaded on the bank’s website”.
The bank noted that its staff are ready to assist any customer to ensure that his/her data are updated.
It explained that the data update is to enhance relationship with between the bank and customers and further provide security for banking transactions with customers.
