Youth matchets two policemen

PORT HARCOURT— TWO policemen were macheted in Kpean community, Khana Local Government Area in Ogoni area, Rivers State, yesterday, a situation that caused mobile policemen to storm the community in search of those behind the act.

Sources told  Vanguard, that the youths behind the act also disposssed the policemen of their riffles but later dropped them. According to community sources, youths in the community where protesting harassment of commercial bike operators in the area by policemen.

At press time, there was still heavy police presence in the community.

Vanguard, also gathered that about eight persons have so far been arrested in the community in connection with the incident.
