Nigerian first indigenous undergarment production company, Patience Please is set to present her 2011 friendship collection. The event which will be holding at the Colonades Hotel, 21, Kingsway Road, Ikoyi Lagos, Nigeria; according to Mrs. Patience Torlewei, CEO of Patience Please, is to showcase her most recent collections to a selected few.
“Patience please is made to complement the true beauty of the woman, poised to meet the need of the Africa woman via its prêt a porter range and more exclusive customized services which is tailored to individual needs and the materials used are all inline with what is in vogue in other parts of the world” she said.
Recognizing the importance of wearing appropriate undergarment, the designer label which was established a few years ago has succeeded in using Nigerian vast range of indigenous fabrics, to create unique and beautiful lingerie pieces for both domestic and international markets. Fussing contemporary design with the beauty and richness of Nigeria culture expressed in beautiful African print collections.
Some of the collections that will be unveiled include: Iris, fluorescent fuschia, voulez vous, animal print, dontelle du Calais lace, guipure lace set, purple leaf lace set, colour me beautiful and luscious velvet collections
With a vision to put Nigerian on the map as a global competitor in the textile and fashion industry through the manufacturing of undergarment, Patience Please has no doubt, created jobs and knowledge transfer in the art of lingerie designing.
