Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Nigeria’s No.1 noodle brand, Indomie instant noodles has again reaffirmed its leadership position and resolved to continually change the culinary landscape in Nigeria with the launch of Indomie Box Noodles into the Nigerian market.
While consumers in the country have enjoyed Indomie and its consistently evolving portfolio of products for over 20years, the leading noodles manufacturer decided that it was once again time to add new innovation to the Indomie collection.
Speaking at the media launch which took place at the company’s Corporate Head Office at Surulere, Lagos, PR Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, Tope Ashiwaju, stated that the new box noodles was introduced into the market to address the changing lifestyles of consumers especially the youths and busy executives who want to have their favourite noodles brand on the go.
Ashiwaju explained that the market has been experiencing a steady increase in size and value over the years with consumption pattern remaining at 80+. This he said is due to the changes in lifestyle such as work practices, life priorities and eating habits which are constantly changing.
He noted that the noodles market is matured and therefore requires something new. There is also a need to serve the youth market who are always on the move, he added.
He said, Indomie need to continue to grow the noodles market by leveraging on the current market dynamics and building on its leadership position with continuous investment in research in-order to tap into the growing noodles consumption pattern.
“We are constantly in touch with our consumers through our research and development efforts which are aimed at tracking the trends in determining the dimensions responsible for customer satisfaction and creating new products and flavours that will ensure our consumers are truly satisfied,” he stated.
