ASABA—NO fewer than seven persons lost their lives, while, 12 others were serious wounded in a ghastly motor accident, which occurred, Thursday, evening along Asaba-Benin highway.
It was a lone accident involving a Toyota Hiace bus with registration number AL 728 KPE by Issele-Uku town along Asaba-Benin Road, following a burst tyre.
Eye witness said the bus was a top speed when it lost one of its tyres.
“As soon as the bus came to an abrupt stop,” said the witness, “it burst into flames.”
The bus believed to be carrying mostly traders was travelling from Onitsha to Agbor when the accident occurred.
As at the time, sympathizers were still at the scene rescuing the wounded persons from the wreckage.
