JOS—PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan’s decision to drop the title of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces has been commended by Nigerians in Plateau state.
Zonal Coordinator, Electoral Reform Network, ERN, Mr Gad Peter Ameh described it as an insight into the personality of the President.
He said: “I strongly support the idea. It goes further to show that he is an easy going leader and not someone that loves power, title and much protocol.”
He urged other leaders to emulate the example.
An undergraduate, Joshua Sule while hailing the decision said it was overdue arguing that the long titles paraded by Nigerian leaders was why they see themselves as masters and not servants of the people.
