NCRIB enhances staff skills @ Retreat

In recognition of the important role of capacity building and man power development to service delivery, the National Council of Registered Insurance Brokers recently held a three day conference at Lisabi Seminar Center in Abeokuta, to improve and build management and staffs technical knowledge, skills and services delivery in the Industry.

Speaking to Vanguard, Dr. Teslim Sanusi, NCRIB president said that “the retreat is meant for junior, senior and management staffs of NCRIB.

The retreat is to empower participants with improved skills, exchange ideas with experts in the field and to acquire skills on how to do things better.

The ultimate objective is for participants to acquire and improve on their skills in order to provide improved professional services.

In his open address the President National Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB). Sanusi who is also the choef executive officer of Cosmic Insurance Brokers Limited encouraged the participant to take advantage of the retreat to develop and improve on their skills and contribute more to the success of NCRIB. He also admonished them to be hardworking and loyal according to him “hard work is a tool for service”

In his paper presentation tagged “Managing people for effective performance” Prince Modupe Fadina, the principal consultant of Mosfad consult, noted “that although human management is the most challenging in organizations, every worker has unlocked potentials and it is the responsibilities of managers to acquire necessary skills to unlock these potentials. He further enjoined them to recognize performance and celebrate success”.

Similarly Mr. Olusegun Ogunlana, from OK&F Consultants, who did a presentation on “Leading change and effective team building”” he noted that a change leader must harmonize human qualities, communication and problem solving skills”

The President National Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), Alhaji T .M. Sanusi went further to reinstate the seven point agenda of his administration which among others are to improve the public awareness of the activities of NCRIB, improved relationship with other financial institution and the building of the new security of a new secretariat.
