A new dawn for Nigeria football may be underway, if what initiators of the first Nigerian International Football Expo said was anything to go by.
At a media presentation in Lagos Tuesday, the Managing Director of Fairplay Marketing, Justin Ofor, said his organisation was out to lead Nigerians to explore the numerous business opportunities available in football.
Offor disclosed that the Nigeria International Football Expo holding on December 9 2010 will be a three-in-one event which will see stake holders of Nigeria football gather, discuss and exchange ideas on how to enhance the growth of various football service industries as well as the sport in Nigeria.
“NIFEX is Nigeria’s flagship football business roundtable set to open a new vista and launch the new Nigerian football industry with a potential to grow into a multi-billion naira industry in the next five years,” Ofor said.
Top business executives from various sectors of the economy including sports have been billed to deliver papers at the round-table conference which is an integral part of the expo. One of Nigeria’s foremost sports writers, Mumini Alao of Complete Communications, Larry Izamoje of Brila Group, Rotimi Pedro of OSMI, Kola Oyeyemi of MTN, Tunji Oayinka of Connect Marketing among others will be presenting papers at the expo.
