over three persons lost their lives while others sustained injuries in two auto accidents at separate locations in Lagos State.
One of the incidents which occurred at the Aswuani axis of the Oshodi-Apapa Expressway, involved a middle- aged man identified as Kazeem Eniola and a yet to be identified female.
It was gathered that the victims, who were traders at the popular Aswani Textile Market, met their end when a Volkswagen Golf car with number plate FK 174 ABC, ran over them while dashing across the road.
Driver of the ill-fated car, Onyeka Obi, narrowly escaped death, as an angry mob attempted lynching him. He was rescued by a team of traffic policemen from Aswani Police Station. They took the corpses and the driver away.
The other incident took place in Ikeja. It involved an unidentified car, which ran over a group of pedestrian waiting to catch a bus at Old Toll Gate along Ibadan Expressway.
One of the victims, an adult male, died on the spot and others who sustained severe injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Lagos State Police spokesman, Frank Mba, confirmed the reports.
