The IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja was a beehive of activities last weekend as Total E&P Nigeria held its 15th Total Golf tournament that featured top golfers from corporate bodies, government functionaries and the oil sector.
The 18 holes event was teed off by His Royal Highness Emir of Suleja Alhaji Awal Ibrahim and former NNPC boss Gauis Obaseki. After a round of 18 holes, the tournament produced IBB Golf and Country Club member Ade Young as over best net winner.
Ade Young is not new to winning. He is a fantastic golfer no doubt, one who does most of his winnings in the Jamie Jamie group. So it came as huge surprise when he was named as winner of the 15th edition of the Total E&P Golf tournament held last weekend at the prestigious IBB Golf and Country Club, Abuja.
Ade-Young who plays off double digit handicap shot 68 net to emerge overall winner of the tournament, defeating the likes of Ru Chang who carded 69 net, A Shaiyen with 70 net and E. Oyibo to second, third and fourth place respectively.
In his winners speech Ade_Young said he decided to win because he had promised a friend that he would win by that margin.
Other winners are best gross A. Chigbo with 81, Sam Anyamele runner up 83. Best net in the special guest category went to A Oniwon who carded 75 net, followed by Jackson Gaius Obaseki with 89 net, while M. Adiukwu finished third with 93 net.
