Former Green Eagles player Friday Ekpo has urged the Nigeria Premier League, NPL to be more organized this season.
Ekpo who is convinced the NPL would have gone farther and better than South Africa said, it is high time for the league to come out in its best this season. According to him, the why people talk about South Africa league is due to proper planning and alongside good management.
“I know a lot have happened in the league especially on the resumption date of the league which had not been confirmed. But whatever be the case I want to see a better league this season, we can be better than South Africa if there is an atom of good organization in the league.
South African is not having the best league in Africa the only thing is the way they organized it. I believe with the delay in the league better things will come out. I want to see better players, better coaches, good referees, well_devoted officials
“Another thing is the issue of The Super_four competitions organize after the season, I want it to be abolished. After playing a long 38 weeks. NPL should stop, if a team win the league, I see no reasons organizing another competition.
“Whatever they should do they should pick from the winners of the league and the first four winners, rather than organizing a competition. Also, I do not want to see Fans coming out to beat referees, it is very bad,” he said.
