DUTSE—Ex-Jigawa State Governor, Senator Saminu Turaki along with his loyalists may soon dump the ruling PDP for one of the three political parties over alleged sidelining and breach of trust from the government of Governor Sule Lamido in the last three years.
Senator Ibrahim Turaki, who was leading a strong faction of the PDP in the state, has vowed to leave PDP to either All Nigeria People’s Party, ANPP, or Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, or possibly Buhari-led Congress for Progressive Change, CPC.
Speaking shortly after the Kaduna meeting of the grand move, the spokesman,Alhaji Salisu Dandoka Magajin Baba Kazaure, explained that to that effect an 11-man committee under the leadership of Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Mamsa has been set up to contact the three political parties with a view to have a formidable team that will carry them along towards getting victory in the forth coming 2011 general elections.
Other members of the committee, according to Senator Tuarki’s spokes-man,include Alhaji B ala Safiyanu Jahun, Alhaji Maikudi Hadejia, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim Marke, Alhaji Isah Alkassim, Alhaji Mustapha Yandutse, among others.
Amongst its term of reference are: holding a consultative meeting with officials of the three suggested parties in working out modalities for a smooth transfer and mutual working relations, among others.
