Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa says his government has concluded plans to construct Tourists Transit Camp in Dutse.
He made this known in Dutse during the celebration of World Tourism Day organised by the state Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Tourism.
He said the camp would provide affordable accommodation for visitors as well as generate revenue for the state.
The governor stated that his administration had also enacted a law establishing Hotels and Tourism Board.
He implored investors to exploit the tourism and other business opportunities which abound in the state in order to boost the state’s economy.
The Commissioner for Commerce, Industry and Tourism, Alhaji Mohammed Birniwa, said the government would provide free plots of land to willing investors.
Birniwa said government hds created the enabling environment for investors through construction and rehabilitation of roads and provision of other basic amenities across.
