The deadline for players to enter to play in the 10th Governor’s Cup Futures tennis Championship expires today.
According to the International Tennis Federation, owners of the tournament, players who intend to participate in the event, which runs from October 15-30 at the Lagos Lawn Tennis Club, Onikan, must lodge their entries online to the ITF website, not later than 2p.m. Nigerian time on Thursday, September 30, while withdrawal deadline is fixed for 2p.m. on Tuesday, October 5. It also fixed sign-in deadline for 6p.m. Friday, 15 October.
According to the schedule, qualifiers for the singles of 32 draws will hold between 16 and 17 October, while the Main draw of 32 players for the first week holds from October 18-23.
The entry fee is pegged at $40 per player The ITF reminded the women players that they will not enjoy any hospitality from the Local Organising Committee of the tourney, while the men players will be given hospitality and accommodation subsidies
