AS a demonstration of her determination to give the people of Ika Federal Constituency effective, qualitative and result oriented representation, a female Poeples Democratic Party, PDP, aspirant to the National Assembly in the 2011 elections, Dr. Isioma Okobah, has commenced free medical services to the people of Ika in Delta State.
The programme, which started at the PDP Secretariat, Agbor in Ika South Local Government Area, yesterday, was attended by over 1,000 persons suffering from various ailments.
A team of medical experts, and members of the Delta Doctors in Diaspora, a non-governmental organisation founded by Dr. Okobah, were on hand to diagnose and prescribe medications, which were presented to the participants at no cost.
Some of the doctors, who flew into the country from Atlanta, Georgia, USA, said they were in Nigeria to promote the humanitarian disposition and political aspiration of Dr. OKobah, who is aspiring to represent Ika Federal Constituency in the National Assembly in 2011 elections.
