Global leader in critical power and cooling services, APC by Schneider Electric opened its local swap centre in Ikeja, Lagos. The new Swap center is to provide warranty support on single phase Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPSes) as well as assisting Nigerian customers with onsite support related to three phase solutions.
The APC swap Center was official declared open by Mr Marcel Hochet, Country President, Schneider Electric Nigeria recently at an event which hosted APC distributors, major resellers and end-users.
According to Mr Hochet , “The main goal of the swap centre is to offer quicker response times and a higher level of service for warranty exchanges of single phase UPS units for local customers, as well as ensuring that three phase equipment receives the proper maintenance for optimal performance”
Mr Hochet further said “This represents an effort to achieve greater customer intimacy and improved service delivery, and we trust that the centre will have a great impact on customer satisfaction in the coming months.
In line with our goal to provide the same level of service everywhere, this swap centre is part of a global services programme that includes the establishment of six swap centres across the African continent as the first phase.”
Schneider Electric’s recently appointed director for English speaking West Africa, Ayo Labade said Nigerian businesses needing field support service on three phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes).
Mr. Labade said anyone needing local warranty service on single phase machines, including APC by Schneider Electric’s Back-UPS and Smart-UPS single phase solutions, should contact APC Schneider Electric’s Nigerian swap centre.
The Nigerian swap centre is based within the Schneider Electric warehouse in Lagos and is managed by APC Schneider Electric newly appointed field service engineers who have been deployed to service and maintain the health of APC solutions currently running in Nigeria. Customers will be able to access swap centre services after obtaining an approval number from the customer care centre based in Dubai.
In 2007, Schneider Electric acquired APC and combined it with MGE UPS Systems to form Schneider Electric’s Critical Power & Cooling Services.
