AKWA Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio, yesterday, expressed appreciation to people of the state for their massive turn out and show of solidarity during his declaration for re-election at Uyo, on Monday.
A statement by the governor’s campaign organisation said that though the declaration was planned in less than 48 hours, the large crowd which turned up at the Ibom Hall grounds to participate in the event confirmed the goodwill that he enjoyed among the people.
The statement which was signed by the Directorate of Publicity of the Godswill 2011 Campaign Organisation, commended National Assembly members, members of the Federal Executive Council, members of the Board of Trustees of PDP, chairman and executive council members of the State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, the Speaker and members of the state House of Assembly.
It also commended members of the State Executive Council, chairmen of the 31 local government areas; royal fathers and religious leaders.
