Members of the 10–man Ministerial Panel of Inquiry set up by the National Sports Commission on the stolen fund in the Nigeria Football Federation paid a visit to the NFF Office on Tuesday morning.
The Members asked simple questions on personnel and operational procedures, and visited the Accounts department where the money was stolen.
Chairman of the Committee is Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, with Members being Mr Oludare Medayedupin from the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, Mr Hycinth Obilor from the Office of the Auditor–General of the Federation, Mr A. S. Abdullahi from the Office of Head of Service, Barrister Mohamed Sani Kaita, Mrs Chinwe Uwandu from the NSC and Mr U. K. Usman from the NSC. Secretary is Mr A. Muoka from the NSC, Assistant Secretary 1 is Mr. I. Osuagwu and Assistant Secretary 2 is Mrs Lizzy Onyewenwa, both also from the NSC.
The Committee has requested the NFF to present its own written account of what happened, while the top hierarchy of the Federation will meet with the Ministerial Committee on Thursday.
