COMPTROLLER of Federation Operation Unit,FOU, Zone A Mr. Kane Emmanuel has stated that his Command recorded seizure of about N25 million worth of Indian hemp between February and July.
Customswatch was authoritatively informed that the seizures were made  on two separate occasions along Olorunda/Iwala axis.
According Deputy Comptroller Yakubu A. S, who disclosed this, “ the zone has between February and July 2010 made two large seizures of weeds suspected to be indian hemp- marijuana.
The two seizures were made on two separate occasions along Olorunda/Iwala Axis. A mazda bus reg. No. Ogun AJ 693 AAB was arrested on the 27th of February 2010 while a Nissan Pick-up van reg. No. XA 801 SRA was caught. A total of sixty seven (67) of both small and jumbo bags were recorded from the two seizures.â€
In addition, he said, “In furtherance of the existing inter-agency co-operation between Nigeria Customs Service and other sister Security Agencies-the said 67 bags were handed over to NDLEA officials at the premises of Federal Operations Units Zone ‘A’ on the 4th of August 2010 for further investigation and necessary action.â€
