Atiku sets up interim presidential committee

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has constituted an interim presidential campaign committee ahead of his expected participation in the PDP primaries.

The committee of 12 is headed by his long time associate, Mr. Chris Mammah with the official designation of Director-General.

Mr. Mammah has two deputies in Mr. Bashir Yusuf and Dr. Andy Okoli.

Other members are Messrs Chidi Duru, Umar Kareto, Omar Shittien, Nath Yaduma, Ojo Onukaba, Adeolu Akande, Garba Shehu and Timi Frank.

Alhaji Atiku is expected to launch the committee on August 15 in Abuja.

Scheduled to follow the launch are zonal rallies.

The former V-P is also in the process of setting up a Presidential Advisory Council which will comprise experienced politicians.
