ADVAN joins the fray, institutes Marketing Excellence Award
As awards this day tends to drive marketing excellence, Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) has joined the fray, by instituting the Marketing Excellence Award scheduled for September 2010.
Organisers of the award said the award is to reward excellence in marketing on the part of Marketing Directorsof companies that excelled in the field of marketing, thereby lifting the product (s) of their respective company (ies).
Aare Fatai Odesile, Chairman, Organising Committee, said that the reward objective is in four fold which include leadership, media, marketing and event night.
Speaking, Odesile said the association wants to use the award to maintain, develop and set the marketing industry standard, and would be used to create and sustain the required amount of exposure for the association and a medium for improving and promoting the interest of stakeholders.
Contributing, Mr. Idoreyen Enang, President, ADVAN, in a statement said that the award is coming w
ith a twist, because of the need to turn things around. He noted that award is separate event on its own, coming after the association’s AGM.
He informed that the award used to be part of the AGM, but limited in scope, now would be standing on its own, he confirmed through the statement.
