Nigeria Football Association yesterday removed its secretary general, Bolaji Ojo-Oba and other key officials.
This according to observers, is the fall of the cleansing exercise embarked upon by the Aminu Maigari led interim management of the NFA, which had seen principal officers like Sani Lulu, Amanze Uchegbulam and Taiwo Ogunjobi being shown the exit door.
Also suspended away was the Chief Media Officer, Ademola Olajire, Sa’adat Ogunjobi, who was head of administrative department and Sunday Okhai of the referees unit.
NFA acting first vice president, Obinna Ogba said yesterday that Ojo_Oba’s removal was with immediate effect. Barrister Musa Amadu has been directed to start acting in the capacity of the NFA secretary.
Speaking on suspension of Olajire, Ogba said, “The Chief Media Officer, Ademola Olajire is hereby suspended with immediate effect in the aftermath of the muddling up of the Nigerian National Anthem during the U_20 Africa Youth qualifier on Saturday, July 24, 2010 between Nigeria and Guinea â€.
He however directed that Robinson Okosun should take over the responsibilities of the Chief Media Officer with immediate effect.
