The Nigeria Premier League on Thursday 22 July conducted the draws for the Super Four (4)
competition which will hold between 2nd – 8th August 2010 in one of the proposed centers (Akure, Ijabuode and Aba).
Day one on the fixture indicates that, Kwara Utd FC will be playing Kano Pillars FC as the opening match of this years edition of the Super Four (4) competition while Enyimba Int’l FC will be trading tackles with Sunshine Stars FC.
Kano Pillars FC will play Sunshine Stars FC and Kwara Utd FC will be facing Enyimba Int’l FC on the Day two of the competition. Day three of the competition will witness Sunshine Stars FC Vs Kwara Utd FC with Enyimba Int’l FC playing Kano Pillars FC in a repeat of the final match of the just concluded 2009/2010 league season. Other activities that would take place during the Super Four (4) include the pre-season workshop, draws for the 2010/2011 League season and NPL annual congress.
Meanwhile, the Board of the Nigeria Premier League will be meeting on Tuesday 27th July 2010 in Abuja where the actual venue for the Super Four (4) will be determined and other related issues in preparation for the 2010/2011 League season.
In another development, Mr. Tunji Babalola has been appointed as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Premier League following the redeployment of the outgoing Executive Secretary, Al-Hassan Saleh Yakmut to the National Sports Commission (NSC).
