Ibori Golf and Country Club resident professional Francis Isuku underwent an appendicitis surgery last week in Asaba, Delta State.
The pro golfer one of the leading lights in the country, it was gathered had the surgery at Tempo Hospital in Asaba owned by another member of IGCC.
When The Golf Course called the Benin born pro golfer, Isuku said he was recovering fast, and revealed that minutes after the operation, he was able to walk around but was advised to rest to allow for proper healing of the surgery.
Owing to the surgery, The Golf Course gathered that the Mega pro tournament being put together by IGCC Captain Daniel Mayuku had to be postponed to allow Isuku who is the arrow head in the organisation of the tournament to be part of the show.
PGAN Tournament Director Dominic Andrew informed The Golf Course that Mayuku requested that the tournament be pushed forward to allow Isuku recover and be part of the event.
“We discussed with IGCC Captain and he advised that the tournament be postponed to enable his Resident professional recover from surgery. Having put in so much to make the event a success, it indeed would be unfair to play the tournament while he is on the sick bed.
We feel it was a good decision because Francis Isuku is a key member not just of the PGAN but also of the committee that is putting up the tournamentâ€, he said.
