MEN of the Delta State Police Command have arrested two persons for allegedly kidnapping a company’s Managing Director and three others.
The company Managing Director was, however, rescued with the other three from a forest while negotiation for the payment of N10 million ransom was in progress.
According to the state Police command’s spokesman, Mr. Charles Muka, “at about 1600 hours on July 26, we received information that some miscreants allegedly from Okpaka, suspected to be kidnappers had taken hostage the Managing Director of Mugba Nigeria Limited Okpaka (names withheld)
“And on receipt of the information, Udu Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Charles Nwabuokiu, who led the operation, thoroughly combed the Okpaka jungle, where the hostages were being kept and succeeded in freeing all the four hostages and the two kidnappers allegedly from Okpaka, who demanded a ransom of N10 million were arrested,†he added.
