Almost two months after quitting as Kaduna State governor to become Vice- President, Alhaji Namadi Sambo is  still
occupying Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Kaduna, the official name of Kaduna State Government House.

The Governor, Mr. Patrick Yakowa, who was his deputy, still operates from his personal house at 17, Iman Close,
Anguwan Rimi, G.R.A. Kaduna.

The Media Assistant to the governor, Mr. Reuben Buhari, confirmed this on phone, when our correspondent sought his
official response to the issue.

Buhari added that Yakowa would release the list of his new cabinet, after dissolving the one he inherited about a
month and half ago from Sambo.

The situation has further fuelled speculation that Yakowa is yet to break away from the grip of his former direct
boss.

However, Senior Special Assistant to the Vice-President on Media and Publicity, Umar Sani, said, “When was the VP
sworn in to warrant this type of comment? Is the governor of the state complaining? Has the VP ever made any
statement that he will not pack out?
