Nigeria Football Association, NFA, has expressed interest in extending the contract of Swede coach, Lars Lagerback, after the expiration of his contract in July.
The Swede had signed a five-month contract with Nigeria but came to the end of the road after the Eagles were kicked out of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa without winning a match, managing only a draw against South Korea.
“It takes two to tango. We are happy with his performance and will like to extend his contract”, Taiwo Ogunjobi said adding, “but the has to show interest. If he shows interest, we will extend his contract.
†Ogunjobi also stated that he would recommend to the executive committee of the NFA before discussing it with the Swede.
