Egwero’ll smoke them all, Coach

Nigeria top rated sprinter, Ogho-oghene Egwero will have an easy ride in the men’s final of the Mobil track and field championships.

His coach Paul Obodoechina predicted that barring unforseen circumstances, Egwero is the man to beat adding that there will no strong opposition on the field.

“ The only runner I am seeing here is Obinna Metu. But I don’t see him troubling Egwero, he will only push him hard,” said Obodoechina.

He said that his athlete has virtually been running alone, adding that with an extra push he should be able to run a very fast time. “You know when you are running with athletes with lower times, it affects your performance.

This is what Egwero has been facing.“But with the presence of top athletes on the field, I that he will do better than he has done previously.”
