MTN, preferred by many Nigerians, recorded another impressive feat in its determination to cater for people in the country. The company turned the commercial city of Kano agog last weekend following the arrival of the worldâ€™s biggest ball in the ancient city.
The ball presented by MTN holds the Guinness World Record as the biggest football in the world. Residents of the city turned out in large numbers to behold the sight of the rare football while they were given the opportunity to enjoy football games and win various gifts items. They also danced to the music of Tuface and many other artistes and were adorned with MTN tattoos as part of the event.
The event was declared open by Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, who was represented on the occasion by his Special Adviser on Sports. The turnout of people for the event was impressive, which is a clear demonstration of the love for MTN by residents of the city.
People took the opportunity of the ambience created by MTN in the city to take photographs with great football starsâ€™ portraits on the occasion. The photographs were taken in postcard formats to keep the event in their memories.
The coordinator of the event, Mr. Biodun Oshinibosi, said the turnout ofÂ Kano residents for the event is a demonstration of the love of Nigerians for MTN and its activities. He thanked God for making it possible for his company, Industrial Development Communications Limited (IDCL), to revolutionise Activation in the country.
He said the even, which will soon hit Abuja, Enugu and Lagos in succession is the best so far in the country as it is offering bouquets of activities, which makes it unique and the first of its kind in the country.
