ABUJAâ€” OVER hundred women under the aegis, United Women Traders Association of Nigeria and Idu-Kharimo/Pegi Women stakeholders, weekend, stormed the house of former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai with a vow to mobilize Abuja women to the National Assembly if there were moves to stop him when considered for any appointment.
According to the women, they were at the residence of the former Minister to formally welcome him back to Abuja, just as they stressed that the territory missed his good jobs, especially in the restoration of the master plan, as well as the beautification of the Federal Capital City, FCC.
Speaking on behalf of other women, the President, United Women Traders Association of Nigeria, Madam Pat Nwoye, who described El-Rufai as an achiever, said he should even be considered for President of this country at the expiration of President Goodluck Jonathanâ€™s tenure.
â€œWe want President Goodluck Jonathan to give you a very good appointment in this country and we will mobilize our women to the National Assembly if they try to stop you under the name of screening.”
Responding, the former Minister, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai who thanked them for coming, saying that he was quite happy that they still remembered what he did having left the office some years ago, adding that he would be encouraged to do more and even better with the visit if given the opportunity to serve the country.
