LAGOS— Delta Air has said recent take over of Virgin Nigeria Airways by the NICON Group would not affect the code share agreement between both airlines.
The airline’s Commercial Manager for West and East Africa, Mr. Bobby Bryan, also told newsmen that Delta Air has concluded plans to begin direct flight from Abuja to New York next week.
Bryan, who addressed newsmen yesterday, said the airline was also ready to interline with any other Nigerian airline that met with the safety certifications of the International Civil Aviation Organisation, ICAO.
“Despite the change of ownership between Delta and Virgin Nigeria Airways, our codeshare agreement with the airline is pending. It will come into force as soon as the need for it to be activated arises.
“Delta Air would want to also interline with any Nigerian airline that meets the safety specifications of ICAO,†Bryan said.
