TomTom Super Eagles campaign hits Kano, Enugu

The TomTom ‘Believe in the Super Eagles’ road show will thrill fans of the senior national team in Kano and Enugu today.

After successfully touring Lagos and Ibadan on Thursday and Friday, the road show, sponsored by TomTom, the official candy of the Super Eagles and organised by HotSports, resumes in two key cities in the North and the South-East of the country.

The road show, which is being held to renew belief in the Super Eagles’ ability to return to greatness ahead of their participation in the South Africa 2010 World Cup, treated lovers of the senior national team to a mixture of dance, drama and great music as fans thronged to the venues to have fun and sign the travelling giant jersey.

The huge jersey has attracted thousands of signatures and goodwill messages already, giving encouraging signals that TomTom’s target of 10,000 signatures will be surpassed.

Huge crowds have witnessed the show in Mile 2, Ikeja, Iyana Ipaja and Oyingbo, all in Lagos, while New Gbagi, Gate, Challenge and Agbeni Market in Ibadan also drew impressive turnouts.

After today’s twin shows in Kano and Enugu, the road show will hit Abuja and Calabar on Wednesday and Thursday.

The giant jersey, which has become a thing to look out for in all the participating cities, will be presented to the Super Eagles in Abuja on Thursday, when they have a send-off dinner with President GoodLuck Jonathan before departing for their pre-World Cup training camp in London.
