Standard Alliance rolls more products in scratch card

SA Insurance has devised  its scratch card means to sell more of its products and this time around the company has packaged six of its products in scratch card which will be out soon.

Mr. Abimbola Ogundokun, General Manager, E-Business and Promotion of Standard Alliance Group in a release made available to Vanguard last weekend. Ogundokun assured that other solutions to further render patronage of all products across the Group simple and easy for consumers were also in the pipeline.

He further explained that the motor insurance recharge card already introduced to the market was fast gaining acceptance across the states of the federation, noting that “we are currently, through our special advertisements, educating the public on how to use the card since it is new to them.”

According to him, “our major concern is the customer’s convenience. We reckon with the fact that the customers do not have much time to move around to buy most of the products we offer. What we are trying to do, therefore, with the scratch card option for all products is to make patronage simple for consumers.

“Also, most communities across the country have not been accessed by insurance companies since they do not have any branch presence at such places. Our intention is to ensure that Nigerians at such overlooked places have access to the benefits of insurance through our scratch cards which shall be readily available for purchase like the GSM cards,” he stated.

Justifying the centralization of the IT system across the Group under his supervision, Ogundokun said the main idea was to fast-track the development of IT-based business innovation to add value to the customer. He hinted that there was a medium term plan to commercialize the services of the centralized IT unit in accordance with the E-Business initiative.  “We are placing everyone together to remove red-tapism in the system. In fact, setting up a central IT unit is necessary because that is the future of the financial services sector where we are a major player,” he stated.
