THE South-South Youth Leaders Forum has urged youth in the zone and Ndokwa ethnic nationality in Niger Delta to give President Goodluck Jonathan a rousing welcome during his three-day official visit to River State. Â
A statement signed by the Vice President of the group, Friday Ossai Osanebi, described the visit as symbolic and urged the people of the zone to grab the opportunity and come out en masse to welcome President Goodluck to make their demands.
Osanebi described Dr Goodluck Jonathan as a visionary leader with a passion for development. He noted that this would be the first official visit by the President to any state in the country, adding that it would also give the president the opportunity to inspect the state and federal government projects undertaken by the state government and Niger Delta Development Commission.
It urged President Jonathan to remain steadfast in the ongoing electoral reforms in order to strengthen the nation’s democratic experience.
