MAIDUGURI â€” GOVERNOR Ali Modu Sheriff of Borno State has reiterated the commitment of his administration to the advancement of self-reliance among the youths in the state.
The Governor who spoke at the Chibok, headquarters of Chibok Local Government Area, while commissioning a skill-acquisition centre, built by the council pledged to support the centre with logistics, saying that he would personally engage the services of the apprentices to assist them to acquire the necessary experiences they needed to become perfect.
Addressing the people of the area, Governor Sheriff assured them of adequate dividends of democracy, and urged them to field credible candidates who were committed to their cause.
He said no candidates would be imposed on them in the forthcoming elections, emphasising that elective positions would be highly contested for at the primaries to ensure that only candidates who could deliver were allowed to contest.
