Â Governor Bukola Saraki of Kwara has presented staff of office to the new Olofa of Offa, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi. Governor Saraki, on the occasion, urged the monarch to provide effective leadership to his subjects, so that the legacies of accelerated development in the community could be sustained.
The Governor enjoined the monarch to use the instrument of dialogue and consultation in administering the community bearing in mind that he is presiding over a plural society.
According to the governor, all segments of the society must be carried along for enhanced cooperation, loyalty and commitment to the cause of the community. Saraki assured all traditional rulers in the state of continued government recognition, saying that his administration would continue to empower them in the performance of their traditional duties.
â€œWe expect our Royal Fathers to continue to support government policies and programmes geared towards improving the living standard of the people. Through collective efforts, we will be able to take Kwara State to the height of our dreamâ€, he said.
